Save 20% on the Revivo Hearing Technology Dehumidifier and Sanitiser Kit

On 23, Nov 2017 | In Festive Offers | By Rosie Williams

Revivo Dehumidifier and Sanitiser Kit now just £48.00 inc VAT

Usual Price £60.00 inc VAT – 20% saving!

The Revivo is a portable, rechargeable electronic dehumidifier designed to remove harmful moisture and bacteria that can penetrate into any electronic devices worn in the ears, including hearing aids and earphones. With this device, you can dry and clean your hearing aids to optimise the hearing devices performance and avoid potential in-ear hygiene problems.

The special high-speed fan circulates air inside the Revivo to capture moisture via the replaceable silica gel desiccant sachet. Titanium dioxide and UV reactions generate hydroxyl radicals and negative oxygen ions to both sterilise and sanitise the devices.

You can set the program cycle to last from anywhere between 3 and 30 hours, and the lithium-ion battery gives up to 10 days use before needing recharging.

Video: hearing aids help to keep your brain fit

On 29, Jun 2016 | In News | By Jerusha Shulberg

The Eriksholm Research Centre have shared this short but interesting video featuring Professor Hélène Amieva, a leading researcher in the Neuropsychology and Epidemiology of Aging at the University of Bordeaux, France, who discusses her 25 year study that shows that hearing aids reduce the risk of cognitive decline in older adults. It is well documented that untreated hearing conditions can lead to an increase in anxiety, stress, depression, poorer communication and eventual isolation. Hearing aids used as part of a individualised treatment plan can help to manage the negative effects of hearing loss and reduce accelerated cognitive decline!

Experience Immersive Sound at Cubex with HyperSound® Clear by Turtle Beach

On 14, Mar 2016 | In Hearing Technology | By Rosie Williams

Cubex are really excited to be involved in a new and innovative direction of hearing care.  HyperSound Clear is a one-of-a-kind personal direct audio solution that generates an ultrasound beam through the air providing a completely immersive, clear and crisp 3-D sound effect, similar to wearing headphones.

With one step a listener can enter or exit a zone of fully intelligible sound, experiencing a difference in aural perception as abrupt as if they’d flipped on a power switch. HyperSound® speakers project a sound beam to a precisely targeted location, creating a private listening zone in any room.

The audio technology, originally meant for enhancing the virtual reality experience for gamers has now developed into a technology that can benefit people with hearing loss too. We have tried this immersive experience for ourselves and would love to hear what you think of it after experiencing it in our offices. Find out more below.

On 24, Feb 2015 | No Comments | In News | By Jerusha Shulberg

In my work, I keep track of technology developments across a variety of fields to try to better anticipate what the future might be like (especially for media and news). Since getting hearing aids about a year and a half ago, and becoming a contributor to this blog, I’ve (of course) included advancements in hearing technology as well as hearing medicine and research to my scanning routine.

Lately, there’s been a lot of activity in the “hearing” space, both positive and worrying. (Since I am, for the most part, a technology optimist, I believe — and hope — that a positive hearing future is more likely.)
