January starts with a bang but soon becomes a drag. And then February – a month of nothingness. Not the new year, and not yet close enough to March to warrant walks in the brighter air with a lighter heart. Before you know it, in walks Spring with it’s progressively longer days, medley of bird songs and signs of renewal.

Sitting at a desk all day can wreak havoc on the body. The human skeleton, with its 206 bones, and 112 joints that facilitate movement of this structure, is literally designed to move. However finding the time, and perhaps more crucially, the energy to move more can be difficult. Start off slowly, aiming to add 10-15 minutes of extra movement into your day, throughout the week and weekend, and you may find that your energy levels start to improve. Increase the duration of your activity as you start to feel the benefit of using your body how it’s been designed to be used!!

What to expect
What to expect
Leave your expectations at home and join fellow yogis from around the world as we explore the power of Mother Nature, and the power within us all, as we embark on an adventure that’s both breath-making and breath-taking. Throughout the week we’ll explore the highs and the lows, the fast and the slow of the practice, the beautiful winter elements and ourselves.
A mindful movement
Just Breathe | London is the first modern meditation community in the heart of the UK.
A place where people of like mind come together to breathe.
Join us in supporting Just Breathe | London’s monthly events where mindfulness is brought to the masses creating a new kind of community coming together to sit and share in a group meditation. Each event is enjoyed with live music at the Quiet Concert following each Meditation session.
Meditation and focussed breathing have been proven by a number of studies to both physically and psychologically improve brain health, particularly for those experiencing stress and suffering with pain, depression, anxiety or addiction. Meet the founder of JUST BREATHE | London, Michael James Wong.
Yoga can benefit your brain and body in unique ways. There is a wealth of evidence that suggests that regular yoga practice can influence cognitive function, gene expression and immune response.
We caught up with London-based teacher, Global Yogi, meditator and lifestyle consultant, Michael James Wong who talks to us about who can benefit from yoga. Michael is recognised as a leading voice in the modern yoga movement around the world. His approach to the practice brings a strong anatomical focus and mindful approach to the movement, while aiming to teach traditional yoga concepts with a modern day attitude. Michael is also the Founder of BOYS OF YOGA , a global movement celebrated worldwide helping to bring more men to the mat and smashing the stereotypes and misconceptions of men who yoga which you can read more about in this post.

We are excited to be working with leading London based yoga teacher, Henrietta Greene, who will guide our #T4Tinnitus ‘Brain Power’ Yoga Workshop on Friday, 12th February 2016.
Henrietta’s yogic journey began at the age of ten, since when she has practised many different styles that now influence her teachings, including: hatha, ashtanga, yin, kundalini, vinyasa and Broga® . In addition to sharing her insights on breathing mindfully for managing tinnitus related stress, Henrietta also looks forward to discussing more generally the benefits of yoga for those with tinnitus and hearing loss, and how it can equip the individual with the means to cope with and manage their situation.
